2023/2024 NBA Season Thread

When this got announced i listened to 106.7 the fan for the 1st time in years to see what they had to say and people were calling in saying the traffic would be terrible and the biggest deterent and they were just flippantly dismissing it as an issue. It was a masterclass in being tone deaf to people's legit concerns about this.

The only good think is that the opened up that metro station in PY, so if most fans take the train, it will be annoying for metro riders, but it might not be so bad. However, if there are a lot of people planning on using 395 or 495 to travel, it will get ugly.

Metro got a shortfall of hundreds of millions and they're already talking about closing down some metro stations and bus routes. It's hard to believe that the metro stops in Virginia out that far are gonna stay open. Or at least open late enough on a game night for somebody to take the 15-20 stops from VA back into DC or VA depending on where you get off at.
