I think Ross took a massive hit to his image, character or persona or however you want to phrase it... As I remember around that time there were rumours of an 'ex hitman' being a rapper and people were speculating about Ross being extra gangsta...

He still made or makes good music but knowing how fake he turned out to be makes his interviews and some of his lyrics cringe: 'Its deeper than rap' *sinister voice* lol

TBF to Ross though his music has evolved to being more about living lavish rather than being gangsta...

A nigga smut out both your babymothers, snatch chains from and beat your top general, get moles to photograph family members sleeping and start an enduring meme about you being a police officer in what used to be an incredibly anti police culture…All while selling 10k first week.

The only people that would say Ross won, would also say that Big Pokey or Trick Daddy are better rappers than Jay Z or Nas.
The fact that ross’ kids can’t claim him or they will be teased cuz mommy got busted out on camera and took the creampie while they went shopping.

Generational indirect ether

Yall talkin about off the court shit

I’m talking about on the court

This was the last time fif was relevant musically

Ross did that
Ross didn't do that lmao. Tf.

The game g-unot shit was more damaging than anything ross did.
Music was already secondary maybe even tertiary in how 50 was moving at that point in his career and was already slowing down while Ross was gaining momentum because of meek, wale and the drake feature.

No killshot was delivered by either, Ross just had a later peak and low key followed and perfected 50s model he should be thankful if anything.

It was kind of odd how Ross was exposed yet rap didn't seem to care because he's still flourishing
He had enough lightning in a bottle with meek and wale to run the money up and the drake feature kept him relevant to the newer era of music fans that didn't really care about the image and just wanted the slaps.

If I remember correctly, 50, Em and Dre were supposed to work on a project, idk if it was gonna be Em's album or 50's , but they were gonna be dissing Wayne, Ross, Ye, etc.

But 50 made the headphones and fucked up his relationship with Jimmy Iovine/Dre and it never happened.

the 3 headed monster album

Yea I don't really remember any diss tracks other than "Officer Ricky".

The best track I remember, was a verse Ross had for 50 on a track called “Valley of Death” on Deepet Than Rap. Think he also went at Trick Daddy on it. It was subliminals. Besides that all the disses were wack. Shit was more online antics.
