My belief is that people of a certain propensity are likely not the best choice for teaching. Internet attention seekers possess a certain personality type that I think is incompatible with teaching. This isn't about what a person does on their own time, I've never said anything to suggest as much.

I think they are narcissists. Teaching children requires that a person be able to come down a bit and be open to a child as a person, as I believe you have attested to in the past or at least someone here did. Self-important people can't do that with their peers, let alone someone they are meant to have authority over. I think that these types would put more work in to their online teacher aesthetic than actual teaching. Teaching isn't easy, it requires a lot of you.

Alright, what I said was that there was a bit of thirst trapping going on with one or two of them, a sign of attention-seeking, which itself is a sign of narcissism. I explained that I didn't think narcissistic people made for good teachers. That offended you more than it should have.

I mean, I don't know Elon Musk but his online antics are clear signs of narcissism 🤷‍♂️
