I think Pippen should be ahead of Barkley. I know Barkley has an MVP but Pippen's body of work and the fact that he's top 5 G.OA.T. defenders gives him the nod imo

The list is wack, it heavily favors the views of the demographic of their reader. Most of the players played in part of the 1980s or later. There is no consistency in the choices.

It is is not about championships otherwise otherwise Kareem and Russell would be higher.

It is not about domination otherwise Shaq, Petit and Wilt would be higher .

Its not about records or Wilt and Curry would be higher.

It looks like they ranked all players in popularity, then pushed up people with championships, longevity and highlights you can easily find on youtube . Then after that were done they sprinked in 15 players from the 50s - 60s and put in Giannis to show they ranked both newer and older players

And It looks like they factored in college career too. Because Bill Walton wasn't shit in the NBA compared to his college career, and there's no fucking way he one of the top 50 NBA players all-time.

Same w/ David Thompson. While he did have a good career in the ABA & NBA, it's his college career at NC State that get's the most praise.

Naw you gotta judge people by their era. Cousey was the best guard the league had seen up until that point.

Real talk if prime Jordan played against prime Kobe or LeBron he wouldnt be as good as them. That is not because he isnt the GOAT, it is because everything he did they studied and built upon.

The same way people are now saying Curry is the best shooter ever, well there is lil kid right now practicing every shotand step in every Curry Youtube clip and 20 years from now that dude is going to be "the best shooter ever" . It just wouldn't have been possible without Curry. Just like there is/was no prime Lebron / Kobe as we know them w/o Mike.
