The FDJ situation is beyond stupid now.
Say he ends up at Man United at long last and his performances are "another pogba", all people (i.e. man United fans) are gonna be saying is "why did we spend so much money on him...blah blah he never wanted to be here"

Seems like people still don’t get it. The £17m he is owed is to be paid over the course of his remaining contract. If he willing ups and leaves or is seen to agree terms with not just us, but any potential club, he will forfeit that money. He also forfeits a loyalty bonus.
This could be a slip up by his agent when they renegotiated his contract but it doesn’t seem they covered themselves in the event Barca want to sell.
So it’s whether he takes a pay cut or not. If he doesn’t, Barca will probably freeze him out the first team and try sell in January or they will stump up the cash and just pay him.
If he does not take a pay cut and Barca don’t pay or can’t sell because he refuses to leave without his money, this will probably end up in the Court of Arbitration to settle the deferred wages issue.

Majority of Utd fans want to walk away from this already, the clubs stance is they will wait, even if the new season starts.
Which means ETH is still pushing. Now Utd is made up of a lot of stupid people, but I refuse to believe that ETH is still pushing this if Frenkie hasn’t given the ok.

I said this from the jump as the most basic solution towards resolving this payment issue so don't get why it's still "not done"
The real question is do Barca actually want to sell de jong now or not? If they do, then I would be surprised that they're still haggling over deferred wages when the transfer fee is greater. So I would like to assume the above "solution" was logically put forth to Man United. Now either Man United said "fuck it" we'll pay it or "fuck no" that's not the deal.

If it comes to light that Erik Ten Hag has been told directly by de Jong that he doesn’t want to come and the gaffer is still insisting on pushing for this deal I will be immediately #TenHagOut.
