I hate I waited so long to come into this thread and all I got was gay smh

the lights call back from season one was dope. Them really mastering how to work the upside down. I was going to complain a bit that 11’s story was dragging a bit but naaa.

I always liked that guy that had that sitcom with Helen hunt for some reason.

Ok so, we know how many episodes for part 2? There’s really another season after this?

idk maybe they should close it out after this and wait like 10 years for the IT inspired sequel like someone said.

I mean probably but there was really no point of Cali outside of Jonathan being friends with a dude who got a van. They gotta go back to Hawkins anyways
 
I think Cali was important for several reasons

1. El can't naturally fit in. She's not normal. And part of her arc here is to embrace not being normal, despite previously thinking that's what she really wanted.

2. Will is still fucked up. Dude never been right since he came out the upside down, and no one ever paid big attention to it. But there's hella red flags this kid not okay.

3. Jon and Nancy are a trauma couple. They only liked each other cuz they bonded during war time. But in peace time.... The spark really ain't there.. It's convenient for both of them they in different cities, but neither wants to admit it
 
This shit was epic! I haven’t been this impressed by a show since the earlier seasons of GOT.

The way they tied everything together was masterful. It seemed like Victor Kreel’s situation was totally separate from the rest. I was wondering how something that happened in 1959 had any bearing since El didn’t create the portal until the 80’s.

And I knew El didn’t kill those kids, I just thought Vecna did cause of how they were twisted and she was trying to save them. Guess technically I was right, lol.

They tied everything together with Number 1 and only mentioned him once before the big reveal. And him being Kreel’s son?! My mind is blown yo! They managed to give us a movie each episode and it all fit perfectly.

1 and 2 kinda already got touched on a bit last season. All they did this season was get a CW writer to sprinkle in a little high school mean girls teen angst flavor on it.

As for your 3rd point, it was peace time last season and the first time we see them is them sleeping in the same bed together. it’s more so the distance(like most LDRs), but that’s just an excuse to squeeze in a love triangle.

Maybe in the future, but so far Cali served no purpose outside of Argyle and creating friction in Jon and Nancy’s relationship . Joyce dipped to Russia and we all gotta go back to Hawkins anyway 🤷🏾‍♂️

Didn't Will' s father die before the beginning of the show?

His mom also referred to him as "different" or "special" or something

So his dad died then he got taken to an alternate world and almost died

Then when he got back some shit he coughed up killed mad ppl and he got possessed or something

And he got...other shit going on top of that.
