At least 10 people have been killed in a mass shooting in a Buffalo Supermarket by a 18yo white supremacist.

It's hard to say anything online about how you really feel knowing the history can be recovered and used against you. This is upsetting though. Where are the gang bangers that defend Black people? Gang this, gang that...biggest joke in the world. I really think most black people (American) are afraid of the world; is there a group of people that goes so hard against their own yet can't use any of that energy to scare punk-ass white terrorist from targeting our most innocent? If as many Black people went around publicly murdering White people, they would have shipped us back or committed a complete genocide on us.

I had a whole other post typed but in doing so I saw your point. I guess a better analogy would be a large building where 2-3 rooms are rented by these people and in those rooms they conspire to kill black people.

In this analogy either the police would hopefully infiltrate and arrest the people or the building owners would evict these people at the first sign that this is going on. The building owners in this case are doing nothing. And because they aren’t, their whole shit should be shut down.

Which leads to the need to lift the Seftion 230 protections given to these platforms. Then maybe they’d be more diligent in getting this shit out of there.

In real life there are societal norms that deter people from indulging in these fantasies. You bring this shit up to the average person they’ll let you know you’re crazy. Online there are no such deterrents but rather catalysts that push them further into their fantasies.

To carry that analogy forward, in the scenario you described I can’t really imagine anyone advocating for shutting down that building or holding the property owner responsible. That would imply an expectation that they are constantly monitoring their tenants, which is a dynamic no one wants.

2 things... the world is a big place and being marginalized and systemically held back on every corner of it is a real thing that very few if any others truly at all have to go up against.

at this point, I dont even know what can be done. The news and social media have reshaped America. Social media, more specifically, is essentially a training ground that has fueled hatred and violence.

We have to be willing and ready to give up specific freedoms and rights in order to put a stop to this. But we are such a self-centered country blinded by self pity that our rights are always being violated.

The internet needs policing in some way. Freedom of speech needs to have its limits…it’s unfortunate that ‘freedom of speech’ has been completely misconstrued from what it actually meant.

I've said this many times before but freedom is speech isn't the real problem. The problem is people have issues with facing the consequences behind saying things. People will argue their right to say whatever they want but will then get upset if a private platform doesn't want to give said speech an outlet. People want an echo chamber of folks agreeing with them when they often bring up that topic. They don't want dissenting opinions they want people who will let them talk unchecked

Plus the way he been talking last few years, im more inclined to think he believes in White Replacement theory than not
