I can answer this question.
Lions and Tigers live in different habitats. Lions live in Africa and Tigers live in Asia.
In Africa, there aren't any animals that can beat a full grown male Lion. Although a Lion can't beat a full grown Rhino, a full grown Hippo or a full grown Elephant, those animals are herbivores and don't eat meat so they wouldn't attack a Lion. A Lion can beat and eat a baby Rhino, a baby Hippo or a baby Elephant.
In captivity a Lion cannot beat a Tiger in a fight because a Tiger can go up on two feet and punch with both hands. A Lion cannot balance himself on two feet so he can punch with both hands, but he has to go down and catch his balance with one hand before he goes back up on two feet to punch.
In theory a Tiger is superior to a Lion but they do not live in the same habitat.
Hyenas live in Africa and can gang up on an old Lion and beat him (and eat him), but it would be suicide for a clan of Hyenas to attack a Lion that is in its prime. A younger Lion that is in his prime is more likely to live in a pride.
