Rogan is trying to save face for his dumbass audience who follows him like the pope. Bottom line is he spent months saying if a healthy person catches covid then they don't need to do all the shit he ran to go do once he tested positive. So either he's a fraud or he's not one of those healthy people he made himself out to be.
