Who is one player in the NBA right now, that history is going to make look WAAYYY better than they actually were?

Semi serious question but what's the difference in saying Simmons will be looked at as overrated x amount of years from now and saying he's overrated today?

Ben Simmons is Trash!

The answer is Ben Simmons for most overrated in 20 years.

And LeBron most Underrated. That's really kinda happening now.

Lebron James

This. Not because he isn't Top 5 all time, but because they are going to hype up the records and bloated stats he has that are largely a consequence of how long he's played in the league. His "boardroom basketball dealings" will also largely be forgotten. I don't really blame him for that now since it's part of the game, but I do blame him for starting it.

This is a dumb take.

This is a dumb take.

Calling something dumb doesn't make it dumb especially when you don't actually offer a counter.

Saying Lebron is the best of all time because he's got big bulk numbers that he generated by playing years longer than most top tier players is dumb.

Talking about Lebron's team success without mentioning the fact that he won as much because he was playing superstar pokemon off the court as he was playing top tier basketball on the court is dumb.

As time goes on, people will do both of those things more and more.

Getting the records REQUIRED a long career. So it can’t be OVERRATED or BLOATED(that shit was highly dumb) because he’s still winning games and rings while getting those stats.

If you said Melo or something like that than you would have a point.

But like I said. That’s shit was a dumb take

Kareem has the points record. Have you ever heard anyone call Kareem the greatest scorer in history? No, because he's not. He just played a really long time and amassed a lot of points over the course of that time. I'm not saying you dismiss those records. Lebron's longevity is definitely a feather in his cap. You just have to put them in proper context. Trying to use bulk statistics to argue that Lebron is the best ever without giving the context of how much longer he played is overrating him, especially when people can easily give you per game stats that show he wasn't nearly as proficient in some areas as people claim.

Again, it's not a dumb take, they way some people use arguments to try and big up their favorite players is dumb, and this is an example of that.

LBJ is one of the greatest scorers of all time. Nothing you can say or pull up will say otherwise.

A nigga that is literally GREAT at every aspect along with having rings and MVPs gon be seen as overrated because he played a long time.

Lmao. The foolish shit y’all say

What I said is right up there. There is no need to put your misrepresentation of what I said just to up your post count.
