How do you know the hiatus wasn't due to a covid outbreak?
And that they had to stop filming because of it?
Or that they eventually resumed filming without Esposito because he was still recovering from it and wasn't well enough to be on the set?

Imo it feels like bumpy's Muslim daughter is taking up malcolm's screen time. He is suppose to be having on screen beef w the nation. Giving speeches at rallies, doin those old time TV talk shows, planning his new group w his new members...
Instead we get all NOI stuff thru the daughter's POV. ugh. I'm guessing they do all the heavy malcolm stuff in the 1st 1/2 of season 3. Then ya know...the autobon scene by midseason
