When Black women say this they get attacked. I see it everyday. The saddest part is a lot of the hate is coming from our own side. Specifically from our men. I have had thoughts on why this is. One of them is that I believe a lot of Black men think that they are entitled to be the leaders of our race like how white men are with theirs and they just don't like the idea of being behind or side by side with Black women. Some real mysoganistic (I fucked that up) shit.

It's been longer than 2 Weeks, they've been doing this damn near all Year, asking Elizabeth Warren and Joe Biden and Bernie Sanders about whether they support Reparations, which the response has been the same: either brushed off, or a half-assed promise of "we'll look into that". Sheila Jackson Lee made the News this Year about this subject, if I'm not mistaken. So I'm perplexed as well--why AREN'T Black People doing more research on this subject and backing the individuals who came up with this instead of running to White Saviors to lead us to the Promise Land?

And, for the record, I don't support ADOS and despise that "movement". Everybody around the World knows that Black People in Amerikkka are descendants of Slaves, which is why we get no respect, even in our own Neighborhoods, let alone Country. Muthafuckas literally look down on us everytime they see us and know they got a leg up on us here. Calling ourselves this continues to reinstate the disrespect and victimhood that we've endured for Generations. They could've used a better phase or, better yet, not come up with anything at all.

Excellent post. This whole ADOS focus on slavery will always hold us back. We have enough issues fighting against prejudices as it is.

Imagine ADOS being used to put us down by someone emphasizing ' ya Mammy was a slave' and having no recourse because that is what we call ourselves.
