1st listen. Nothing stood out. Is not a bad album, dont think I'll be going back to it. I thought the "beats were supposed to slap"...what happened

The reason I like this album is for the same reason I liked God's Son.

I'm the same age as Nas, we were both born in September 1973. I feel like we're maturing together. When I was 20 Illmatic was out and I could relate to the lyrics, Now in 2020 I can still relate to the lyrics.

Nowadays rappers like Migos or Griselda are dope, but they don't make mature music for people in our mid 40s.
