Well damn i never really thought about it, but Dre has beefed with a few of the biggest and possibly most powerful hip hop artists in terms of influence.

I completely forgot about him Beefing with Jermain Dupri as well. I loved that Freestyle Xzibit did over the Grindin beat dissing JD. Dre's verse on Obie's album dissing Jermain was dope too. Wonder who wrote it, Em or Obie lol. For Dre to progressively rise higher and higher after each one is pretty impressive. Granted, his 2 greatest opponents died early, but he was also a huge reason why they became so influential.

Nas vs Jay Z was a big deal, but I feel like that was the only beef Jay really went in to battle for. He may have lost, but if he did, it was just barely. Neither of them lost or won. I feel they both excelled after it was done though, but Jay was steadily on the rise since his first album. Nas was in a bit of a slump until Stillmatic imo.

Im gonna vote for dre.

Neither one really took hits, like people not rockn w/ them or something

After No Vaseline, Dre co-founded Death Row, signed Snoop and dropped The Chronic

Even if BP2 got mixed reviews, it was still multi plat and had hits.

What's the title of the thread?

I'd say jay's comeback is more impressive...dre vs easy is debatable on who won and Even though NWA clearly lost to cube noone really considers dre a rapper like that so him losing a rap battle to ice cube isn't really that crazy. The expectations are just very different when looking at nas vs jay

I know its debatable (the never ending debate actually lol) about nas vs jay but I think the general consensus is that jay lost to nas...and to me jay lost to nas pretty badly but it didn't hurt his career at all...like when 50 and ja were going at it you could see an immediate dropping point in Ja's popularity. Jay just kept getting more and more successful after ether.

To me its more impressive that a rapper is able to recover from one of the greatest diss tracks of all time. No vasaline and real motherfuckin G;s are also great diss tracks but Dre wasn't a rapper like Jay-Z was.

Facts, but Jay has also beefed with Beanie sigel, dipset, max b, jaz-o, mobb deep, the game, 50 cent, peedi crack, oschino, 2pac, big pun, fat joe, mc hammer, Joe budden, mase, dmx, future jayo felony and dame.

There's a lot more that I'm forgetting right now

Jay didn't even have a comeback. He put out an album, lost a rap battle and then put out an album the next year. Both went to no.1 I believe

Still Dre, if that's Dre comeback track, is prolly his most famous song

Yeahhhh but did he really though.. I mean he dissed prodigy for sure. But everyone else just got a shot thrown at them on a song here and there. Jay didnt let the masses catch on. People who were in the loop on the beefs definitely caught on to the subliminal though. Nas was the only one he straight up named and had a full verses dedicated to. Im not so familiar with his beefs outside of Nas and Prodigy though, post some songs where hes dissing some of those folks. I know he dissed Dame on Lost Ones and the We Fly High remix though. Other songs the subliminal is so subliminal that you dont know who the hell hes talking about.

Dre's beef had full on back and forth diss songs. You knew good and well who he was speaking to. I dont think he had a song dissing Pac, but definitely had some for Eazy and JD and Ja Rule and often these artists he beefed with were at the height of their career.

Nas did not sign to jay z but that baby seat and Carmen line was .... in jay z words, vulgar

jigga fans are the biggest cocksuckers

Thread corny with the incoming trolling
Both my favorite MC's but nah Hov won in the long run.

First bm smashed your enemy and left condoms on the baby seat, now that same baby is a thot on twitter.

Second bm got you paying 80k in child support and already married to another and got your son wearing lipstick.

I have no dog in this fight because both are my favorite MC's but superugly >>>> ether
