He did great with developing players but he wasn't the greatest X's and O's coach. If a championship run was the goal next year we probably needed a coaching change. I was kinda hoping they'd keep him but demote him but that's how it goes.

Well damn I didnt see that coming, I dont think Kenny Atkinson is some great coach but I think he did a good job this season considering the circumstances

Nets dont have the personnel for a good defense at all and are 8th in the NBA when they should be well below an average defense

The offense hasnt been good but I dont see what he could've done different to make it better....for most of the season Spencer Dinwiddie has been the only player who can dribble, Levert has struggled coming off his injury, obviously you have KD out and Kyrie been injured most of the season

There has to be something more going on here

The timing of this is what's curious to me. Kenny had a long talk with the team after their blowout loss to the Grizzlies. I feel like Marks would have liked to wait until the off-season to make this move, so I think a sit down conversation turned into Kenny saying let's just split ways now. Kenny might've been burned out.
