I believe part of it is. Buddy was worried about getting paid, which he did and it went to his head. He needed to be humbled. The other part is Walton finally let harry giles get some meaningful pt. He's been playing good basketball as of late n the team feeds off of his energy. Gonna be sad when he starts balling for another team

strongly disagree with the second part

dude didnt have to guard on the perimeter in college. He's playing against other nba dudes who are playing to his (now) weakness...its not that he scared. He's just outmatched out there. That's it

Dude 19...once he has a full off season of conditioning, training and tape evaluating, he'll start to turn the corner. I'm sure this will be an area of emphasis for him in the offseason

Exactly, has nothing to do with being scared....at this moment it is what it is Zion has been atrocious on defense, dude cant bend his knees, cant move laterally, has no awareness, cant get in a defensive stance and isnt blocking shots

At Duke he was at least showing some encouraging signs with his helpside defense and get some nice blocks but hes regressed and been disappointing on that side of the court so far in the league

Now of course with that being said you have to acknowledge that he is getting integrated midseason and still working his way back into shape so that does have to be taken into consideration and you have to give him some time

Pels more than likely though going to need to invest in a big who can strech the floor and block shots/play defense which isnt easy to find(Myles Turner, Horford, JJJ, Ibaka ect....these are just examples of the type of players who New Orleans should be trying to pair with Zion)

That should change once he get his legs under him more. But it is what it is right now

I get you wanna be the mature one when discussing these games fam, but bro I'm fixing my expectations with a young team. Watched this whole game and going to the 4th quarter like I can feel we had no shot. Was a bad time to lay an egg now makes the rest of the games this week must win. I hate when Gentry gets a bunch of shit online but he has to do better on zone adjustments and PNR defense. Very curious to see who our next coach will be next year.
