Breaking News Juice Wrld passes away at 21

That’s THEIR problem if their willingly killing themselves, no disrespect, so let’s not do that bullshit. Hip Hop is MORE than mumble drug addict entertainment. But again, lyrical miracle swimming pool rappity rap rap or being intelligent is corny as fuck right?
The fact that your being sarcastic about lyrical hip hop is proving your bias towards it and showing how much it matters to you. You may have strong emotional connections to it (hell I get the hate for mainstream druggie shit) but the facts are clear bruh hip hop image in today's society as a majority is ALWAYS associated with youngings and what's the new wave. That's why most rappers don't last long in this game. The reflection of what is the topic point of our culture is majority self destructive behavior pertaining to drugs and vices. It used to be gangsta music in the 90s, now the main approach is abusing drugs.

Take your emotional connect to the underground out it. I'm a underground consumer just like most of us on this board but I'm not gonna be a person here to be delusional to what the genre sounds like for majority individuals on the massive scale of things.

That's why I champion having more younger posters here because older posters or underground consumers only want to see things one way. Shit makes for a circle jerk of opinions and that shit is not helpful for none of us.

Understandable. But speech is entirely different and rap comes off as the real so you connect with more.

And think about this. Lets use the movie John Wick where he was killing folks left and right. Shit is not for kids right.

Now lets use the song Mask Off by future.

How many times have you seen John Wick and how many times have you heard Mask Off

Popular music is definitely influential and young people are very impressionable.

I dont think music is solely to blame but I agree it's a powerful motivator. Music can influence how you dress, slang, cars you drive, your perspective etc. So yeah it definitely has power.

Fair points. and I agree that music can have SOME influence. It's not the deciding factor on what these kids choose to do. Shit alot of us were young-ish when Ante up dropped and fucked with the song heavy.. Didnt make me wanna go out and start robbin niggas in my spare time tho lol.. shit was just a dope song

I only took issue with that post that said "Hip Hop is sex, drug and death culture". To paint ALL of hip hop so broadly like that is nonsense. And let's be honest here.. folks that wanna do drugs are going to do drugs regardless of what music they are listening to.

Saying it's all hip hops fault is removing personal responsibility from the equation... especially since these kids are seeing their favorite rappers dying left and right from the very drugs they sing/rap about.

I knew he was on them pills. Didn't need breaking news from tmz.

I took edibles hours before flying once. It kicked in and man i was tweaking on the flight. Heart beating fast sweating like crazy felt i was about to throw up.

Now imagine popping pills before flying

I took an edible on the ground and I was out my fucking mind. I thought my gf was kidnapping going down 94 and I been up and down that freeway a thousand times but I legit didn't know where I was at.

So I can't imagine wtf a pill would do and on a plane? Not me

All of hip hop aint sex, drugs and death culture and to say that is some bullshit imo

It's not all of it but for a while now older heads been pointing out this weird transition in hip hop where being a drug fiend is put on a pedestal. Even with the news of this kids death i saw a few "ima pop a pill for Juice" as if that honors him

Earlier this year, 19-year old Chicago artist Juice WRLD admitted that Future’s music first inspired him to try lean. In a new interview with Vulture, Juice revealed that upon linking for WRLD ON DRUGS—which the pair recorded in five days—Future apologized for steering Juice WRLD in the wrong direction.

“That’s the first thing I told him,” Juice said, referring to Future putting Juice onto lean. “He just was like, ‘Wow.’ He kind of apologized.”

lol seems kinda silly for older heads that came up when being a drug DEALER was largely rapped about and "put on a pedestal" being shocked and appalled at the transition of rap from dealer to user
