with all the unhappy marriages out there, and the reality that a great many marriages are not gonna be for life, I do not understand why anyone would view a married person's advice as more authoritative by default.

u didn't even specify a successful marriage, something which (no shade) @Allergens admits he aint got.
regardless if you agree with allergens pov or not, his is coming from a person who is married and has had his share of marital issues

i would rather read his pov vs some nigga who just wanna play the field and has no desire to get married

how he gon tell me anything about marriage?

Yeah it was about one of the episodes that was supposed to air involved mass shootings, but a shooting happened that very week and NBC pushed the episode to air at the end of the season to not offend anyone, but Carmichael felt the Episode was not offensive and dealt with the incident in an appropriate way. There were other issues too, but the pulling of the episode was the last straw it sounds like. They still aired the episode, but not in its original spot of the season.
Crazy thing is the shooting he got the idea to write that episode happened at the mall about 3mi from my house. Carmichael is from NC actually near my hometown but the show is based out of Charlotte

My aunt told me something last Saturday...

She came up to me and told me i should go ahead and marry my s/o. Said not to be like my uncle who just passed, where he was living wit his for decades, but never married her.

I think she had a conversation wit his live in gf, and said something to the fact that if he really loved her, then he would've been married her. I shook my head agreeing...but then actually thought about it.

My uncle has been wit this woman for DECADES. So what would have been the difference had he married her? I mean he made sure she was taken care of in his will. Other than that, no difference. Slapping a ring on her ring wouldn't change how he felt about her.
