There’s a lot of wack rap regardless of the content. Christian rap can be dope. It doesn’t always have to be about God, either. It can be clean, rap about life, struggles etc. NF does his rap this way and doesn’t sprinkle in God making it a gospel album. He does clean rap. Lecrae isn’t wack, either, he puts it all in his raps in a dope way.

Christian rap is wack because it doesn’t cater to drugs, alcohol and women, the typical stuff you hear in rap. What’s the appeal, though? The majority of those who listen to this type of rap do not even live the lifestyle the lyrics represent.

Ignorin' that it's a gospel album it's just not good. Too many songs have too much time without any drums, I dislike the singin' tracks, only liked one of the beats and even that one doesn't sound properly mixed.

man yall a trip. I think the album alright. I won't give it a second spin but I don't listen to much twice. I feel like non-Christians don't like it since its so focused on God and Christians eating it up since we haven't had anything major in hiphop in awhile. Its better than Life of Pablo but still worse than his other albums. Sounds like 'Ye still soul searching since his breakdown and this is just another step in that process.
