P was never the undisputed best rapper alive but there was a period from about 95-00 where Prodigy was legit one of the top 5 rappers in the game

Even in death Pac & Big was bigger then him. Nas & Jay was bigger than him.

And from 98-00 Nola was running shit w/ Cash Money & No Limit.

Shit I forgot bout Kast, 3000 in particular, They wasn't even the top group during that period.

This is a tough one. I don't rock with MD at all, so them niggas can bounce. Push is my 2nd favorite active rapper and his discography is INSANE. But I don't really fuck with Malice much, and not cuz he not nice. Just not that familiar with his shit. As far as the Lox, I'm a BIG Jada fan and I rock with Styles a lot too and I think that Sheek - strangely enough - may have had the best solo of the three of them with his first shit Walk Witt Me.

I dunno man.

BUT once you figure in all of tha Lox solo careers compared to Prodigy’s solo career that gap closes fast....Styles should be at least top 10-15 on everybody’s list (yeah I said it) if not higher (he’s in my top 6-8 prolly lol)...Jada on skill alone is always universally considered top 10-15 and Sheek has put out at least 3 really good solo projects compared to P’s HNIC and all his collabs wit’ Alchemist...in that argument then YES...tha Lox can be considered better...

As far as tha Clipse go...first album really good...second album aite...Push has had a strong solo career but nowhere near what it would take to carry him AND Malice past Styles, Jada and Sheek or evening P’s solo career...maybe closer to P by themselves but not against 3 niggaz who still puttin’ out music like tha Lox

Find me quoting that P was tha best rapper durin’ any era bruh lol...I’ve always been a big Prodigy/Mobb Deep fan but P came up in a time wit’ Jay, Nas, Big...don’t know when he would have taken that crown from any of them...even Jay after ‘97 post Big n Pac...niggaz can hate him (Jay) now all they want and for whatever reason they may have but I remember and know that Jay was still tha biggest and best in tha game from then til whenever/whoever says some shit about tha mid 2000’s or whatever....but I’m not here for that fight either lol
