its not just about the logo its the fact that nipsey known to use the word Prolific. Now he wants to name his record label after that. Hes been doing his best to grab any attention off nip
I have a problem with this way of thinking.
I notice that in Hip Hop, everytime an artist attempts to pay tribute to a fallen rapper, the peanut gallery accuses him of something insidious.
Jay quotes Biggie. "He's biting Big!"
Charles Hamilton lists J Dilla as an Executive producer. "He never worked with Dilla!"
TLC goes on tour and looks for a third member. "They're trying to replace Left Eye!"
How the hell is anyone inside the culture ever supposed to celebrate and uphold the legacy of the deceased? If the world went your way, the only people that could use the name or memory are artistically and culturally disconnected DJs, program directors, and label execs.
Cut the shit man. Notice TS didn't post this
Maybe yall just don't know what it means to pay homage to the dead. To dedicate something to the deceased. To pay tribute. Meanwhile, while you so busy sitting in the peanut gallery, their tributes could very well be generating money to go to the families of the fallen.
