Whats the best lyrically allbum ever?

this is such a tough question. Because even though lyrical abilities have to be at the forefront, you'd have to consider the content too. Like "Capital Punishment" by Big Pun is super lyrical (no pun) but i feel like Illmatic had the lyrical part and Nas was saying stuff.

I'd go with Illmatic bc the high lyrical part meshed so well with everything else needed to make a fire album

I’m not as high on illmatic as most other people. But I say all the time that it’s prolly the only album I’ve ever heard that’s LYRICALLY flawless. There isn’t a bar out of place. I wouldn’t change a single thing about that album lyrically.

I can't say I've ever broke down and graded every track on an album for lyrical grades.

I feel like that shit would be mad time consuming

Capital Punishment- Big Pun

Nigga left Eartg that entire album…no words/bars/mines off

Liquid Swords - GZA

Criminal Minded - Boogie Down Productions

Paid In Full - Eric B and Rakim

Illadelph Halflife - The Roots

To The East Blackwards - X Clan

Dead Serious - Das EFX You might not think this albums is lyrical because of all of the "diggidy diggity" but the lyics are all quotes from 80s children's commercials. The type of commercials they'd play on Saturday morning during commercial breaks of Saturday morning cartoons. If you grew up in the 90s or 00s you might think the lyrics don't make any sense, but they make perfect sense to somebody that was a child in the early/mid 80s.

Bigger and Deffer - LL Cool J - He had alot of original ideas on this album.

One For All - Brand Nubian

Illmatic/It Was Written - Nas

Reasonable Doubt - Jay Z

Not sure about all-time, but........if we're strictly talking about lyrically............it's close.

Rakim's Let the Rhythm Hit Em album:

Single was crazy.

If it's not best all-time, it's hands down Rakim's best lyrical album.
