Yeah but if you think about it, it's near impossible to prove that something is true (or false). You might think something is a fact because it came from a reliable source, but it could still be wrong.

The most one can do is to do your best to take it from the most credible sources. Shit like "how many of x group of people have been murdered in a given year" is data that's collected by the government. Things like "there's no such a thing as a male or female brain" have decades of neuroscience research behind it as well as published, peer reviewed papers on the subject that are readily available (In fact, I just found out this week that I don't have to go through PubMed for published papers behind a paywall anymore, the individuals that wrote them are completely at liberty to send you their work 100% for free).

The hard part for the masses is reading it and digesting it all, so instead of doing the work and actually using their brains for a change, they would rather let someone else do the heavy lifting so they can simply parrot the soundbites that inevitably follow.

There's plenty of threads I could jump into with facts and figures, but at the end of the day, them niggas gonna believe whatever they believe even in the face of overwhelming evidence to the contrary. It's happened enough, even with some of them niggas being indignant in their ignorance, so these days I'm basically like "fuck it".

I’m pretty much there too. I’ll spar from time to time out of boredom, but at the end of the day there’s no point in trying to convince those that would rather stay ignorant. Even less of a point to do so with people who matter none to me in real life.

Both. I acknowledge it's important but I have no take on it at all. If they come, idc. Accepted, idc. Deported, idc. Of course I dont want anyone being treated in ways that aren't aligned with basic decency, but i don't have the bandwidth for that issue.

To add onto this...I also acknowledge that the US is responsible for the destabilizing of a lot of the places illegal immigrants come from. So I empathize with them off GP, but im also like...the US has always been on some "if you owe me $10 you aint giving me 9" shit. So if they come for you I can't really feel bad. That's the risk you took in coming here.
