Never underestimate the strength of shared experience and a personal relationship. I don't think it ever occurred to Stringer that Avon might have him lined up. Nigga is aggressive in the streets with his enemies. Not with his own squad. Nigga gave mad passes to D'angelo. He let Cutty leave and gave him some bread. Got in Stinger shit about not respecting the Sunday truce. Etc, etc, etc.

2. take his time with them politicians. not get in over his head.
3. not think he was bigger than avon.....he felt avon in jail is better than avon on the street.
4. not get on the bad side of omar...from killing his boyfriend to getting brother on him.
5. just not being a stand up dude...he wanted the rule to change because he felt he was changing.

You're off about #1 in a way.

Avon crew had the towers and the low rises and Marlo had some corners that had nothing to do with where Avon was running his show and getting money.

Once the towers got tore down which was Avon's biggest money maker he needed a new place to replace all that money. That new place was the corners that Marlo had built up that Avon never gave a fuck about because he had the towers and low rises.

So actually Avon started the shit with Marlo and became his comp. Marlo handled the shit accordingly. Avon beefing with Marlo gave Marlo everything he always wanted. Marlo wanted to wear the crown and Avon came fucking with him. So in the streets and to everybody watching Marlo ain't doing nothing but what a man should which stand up for himself and what he built and not just let a nigga come take something from him without a fight.
