The official COVID-19/Coronavirus Discussion Thread...aka I hope I don't get the Rona

this has HIPPA violation written all over it.
*HIPAA

Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act

Using an app like that wouldn't violate any HIPAA laws, as it wouldn't reveal the name of anyone who's infected. It would only reveal if a person has been in contact or in close proximity to an infected person. The infected person's identity is protected.

This is that fear mongering bullshit that has to stop. Yes, the 'young' also die from covid - seemingly way more so in the US than anywhere else in the world - but that is also the case with common viruses on a yearly basis where a % of young people die, we are fragile creatures - and often don't know we are untill we get ill - so this narrative has to be called out on its bullshit.

There are fragile people of al ages and they can die from all types of - for the majority of the population - common and basis infections. Covid is one of them.
