Only if it told you who it was. I guess if you were only around 1 person for a while you could deduce it, but that’d be a highly unlikely scenario.

Using an app like that wouldn't violate any HIPAA laws, as it wouldn't reveal the name of anyone who's infected. It would only reveal if a person has been in contact or in close proximity to an infected person. The infected person's identity is protected.

If you knew a positive test meant your every move was gonna be tracked and reported on, would you still get tested, or just assume you have it and self quarantine?
