They killed the young brotha off first episode, I thought the story was go be about him coming of age
 



The Chi is a timely coming-of-age drama series centered on a group of residents who become linked by coincidence but bonded by the need for connection and redemption.
 
Im nervous because I for one am tired of hood shows that only showcase violence and Black pain and not the sheer magic, joy, creativity, and connectedness of our communities.


I hope common gets this one right.
Lena is a dope ass writer so Im banking on this being a Gem.

Watching the first ep via Youtube on my XBox 1, cot dayum Kima still has an ass lmfao ...


but smh that kid looks and remind me of Namond..but on the real tho, the kid that got caught at the beginning is actually how alot of these deaf Chicagoland kids act ... I damn near worry every time they go home to the Chi and wonder if they make it back every weekend (I work at the state school for the deaf in the dorms). No lie, this school is basically the safest spot for many of these kids over the years...
