That's what I did. I found out my ex was cheating so I started looking for apartments in the area. When I did, I told the leasing office my plans and they gave me a form we both had to sign that left her responsible for the rent. She signed it without reading it (after I told her to do so).

She threw a huge tantrum when she realized the rent was due and all her money was spent. What I don't understand (to this day) is why she was throwing her own stuff around.
