Got this idea from the cooking one but also the 1619 project post as well.
Needless to say both are important...and neither should get alot of time in schools.
Imo, schools should be heavy on math, science, and language (english but also a second language).
Basic civics, philosophy/psychology, and history from all perspectives should be taught but time shouldnt be wasted on it. If a kid is really interested in it then there are more than enough resources to learn it on their own time.
I can posdibly see the value in pe, arts, music, etc. because its something that kids really cant get at home.
Thats pretty much it tho. Again, there's more than enough information out there for kids to learn things like cooking, shop, sex ed, etc.
