WSJ: Florida Prosecutors Offer Robert Kraft Deal Over Solicitation Charges

Florida prosecutors offered a deal to New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft whereby charges that he solicited prostitution would be dropped in exchange for Kraft admitting that he would be found guilty at trial, the Wall Street Journal reported Tuesday.

Under the terms of the reported deferred prosecution agreement, Kraft would be screened for sexually transmitted diseased, complete a class on prostitution, finish 100 hours of community service, and pay some court costs from the case.

Kraft denies the charges.

The WSJ also reported that legal experts had raised questions over Florida prosecutors’ conduct in the case.

Kraft’s charging last month attracted scrutiny to the founder of the spa where he allegedly paid for sex. The founder — Cindy Yang — was later found to be peddling access to Trump via Mar-a-Lago, and has ties to Chinese government groups.

Trump Wants His Buddy Robert Kraft At The WH Despite Prostitution Scandal

President Donald Trump told aides that he wants Patriots owner Robert Kraft to come with the team on the celebratory White House visit, despite the bad optics of a President cozying up to a man allegedly caught in a high-profile prostitution sting.

According to a Wednesday Politico report, staffers think it’s a bad idea, but know that Trump’s high premium on loyalty and tendency to stick by men accused of sexual misdeeds will probably land Kraft in the White House anyway.

They are reportedly banking on the public’s short attention span and the hope that Kraft will ultimately not be convicted.

Kraft Asks Judge To Block Explicit Video Release In Prostitution Ring Case

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (AP) — Attorneys for New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft and other defendants in a Florida massage parlor prostitution case are asking a judge to block the release of video that police say shows them engaging in sexual acts.

Lawyers for 14 of the 24 men charged with misdemeanor solicitation say releasing the video secretly recorded inside the Orchids of Asia Day Spa would violate public records law.

Under Florida law, most evidence is made public when given to defendants. That hasn’t happened yet with the videos, and lawyers for Kraft and the other men want to pre-empt it, arguing that evidence shouldn’t be made public until the investigation is complete, if ever.

Kraft’s attorneys and the Patriots have declined comment. The Palm Beach County State Attorney’s office did not immediately respond.

Sheriff in Robert Kraft prostitution case expects video will eventually be released to the public

New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft really doesn’t want the public to be able to see videos that prosecutors say show him getting sexual services in a Florida spa for cash — but the case’s top cop expects that salacious footage eventually will be given to the media and others.

“I do think ultimately they are probably going to get released,” Martin County Sheriff William Snyder told CNBC on Thursday, a day after Kraft moved to keep police surveillance videos of him sealed.

“Once a case is over, it’s not an ongoing investigation,” Snyder said. “There has to be a specific reason not to release a public record. And the fact that there is sexual activity is not an exemption.”

Snyder led the sprawling human-trafficking probe in South Florida that ended up with Kraft and more than 300 other people in Martin, Palm Beach and Indian River counties being hit with prostitution-related charges.

Police had installed hidden cameras in five of eight spas as part of the investigation.

Some of those cameras, according to court records, captured Kraft receiving sexual services from two women at the Orchids of Asia Day Spa in Jupiter, Florida, on Jan. 19. A day later, authorities say, he received services from another woman — just hours before he watched his Patriots win the AFC Championship in Kansas City, Missouri.

Kraft, 77, has pleaded not guilty to two counts of soliciting prostitution. The billionaire businessman, whose National Football League team won its record-tying sixth Super Bowl last month, is due to appear in court on March 28.

On Wednesday, Kraft and 14 other defendants filed a motion for a protective order in Palm Beach County Circuit Court seeking to block the release of surveillance video in the case. A similar motion for a protective order was also filed in the Martin County case.

The requested Palm Beach County order would “preclude any party from copying or permitting, facilitating, making or granting any public access to the evidence gathered during the investigation at issue, including any video evidence related thereto, pending further order of the Court.”

The motion notes that the videos are currently exempt from public disclosure because the case is ongoing.

But Snyder said he would follow Florida’s open-records law once the case has been closed — and he expects that authorities who are responsible for Kraft’s case would do likewise.

“The question is if they plead guilty and the case goes away, will it be subject to public record?” Snyder said. “I think the answer is likely yes.”

“But until then there is a court order that seals those files,” Snyder added.

CNBC reported last week that police had obtained what is known as a sneak-and-peek warrant that allowed them to enter the spas and install hidden cameras.

Snyder said his detectives posed as employees in other occupations.

Police in Jupiter, which is located in Palm Beach County, used an undisclosed ruse to gain access to the Orchids of Asia Day Spa that Kraft had visited.

Detectives monitored the video in real time from a secure room in the sheriff’s office, he said.

Snyder said he has seen some of the illegal activity captured on video, which he described as “explicit sexual and graphic.”

“I watched and just left the room,” he said. “There is nothing to see. It’s pretty ugly.”

Snyder has a warning to other potential defendants.

“If you want to engage a prostitute,” he said, “you have the risk of being videotaped if you do it in Martin County.”

Talk about privilege.
Mofo committed a crime but is in negotiations about the outcome.
This ain't no contract.
I guess that's what a certain skin color and having money can do for you.

Patriots Owner Robert Kraft Issues Statement on Prostitution Case: ‘I Am Truly Sorry’

In deference to the judicial process, I have remained silent these past several weeks. To correct some of the misinformation surrounding this matter, my attorney made his first public comments on Friday night. I would like to use this opportunity to say something that I have wanted to say for four weeks.

I am truly sorry. I know I have hurt and disappointed my family, my close friends, my co-workers, our fans and many others who rightfully hold me to a higher standard.

Throughout my life, I have always tried to do the right thing. The last thing I would ever want to do is disrespect another human being. I have extraordinary respect for women; my morals and my soul were shaped by the most wonderful woman, the love of my life, who I was blessed to have as my partner for 50 years.

As I move forward, I hope to continue to use the platform with which I have been blessed to help others and to try to make a difference. I expect to be judged not by my words, but by my actions. And through those actions, I hope to regain your confidence and respect.

On 1 hand, i want him to go down and lose his team for this. On the other, he did support Meek for reasons im still not sure of and that was cool.

How u ask for that tho?

Heard thru the grapevine...that you basically just disrobe completely at the beginning, while the lady in there. If that's a service they offer, she'll ask if that's what you want.

If it says no sexual contact on the rules. They do it.

I legit went in to one on a lunch break and wanted my back rubbed hard. My back was tight. She told me to get completely naked and lay on the table. She left out I undressed and got a good rub. She then asked me did I want to take it another step and took off her shirt. I said I’m good I gotta get back to work. Didn’t feel like hearing my boss mouth about spending 2 hours on lunch.

Nice tittes though

Pats' Kraft pleads not guilty, asks for jury trial

New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft on Tuesday officially entered a not guilty plea to charges on two misdemeanor counts of first-degree solicitation and has asked for a jury trial.

Kraft's attorneys filed a court notice Tuesday also waiving his arraignment, which had been scheduled for Thursday but is now canceled.

In February, Palm Beach County authorities announced Kraft was videotaped twice paying for a sex act at an illicit massage parlor. Kraft, 77, is among more than 200 people who, police said, engaged in sex acts with employees of targeted massage parlors in South Florida.

If convicted, Kraft would face 100 hours of community service and a $5,000 fine. He could also get a year in jail, although that is unlikely.

The plea comes days after Kraft apologized in his first public comment since being charged for allegedly receiving sexual services at the Orchids of Asia Day Spa in Jupiter, Florida, on Jan. 19 and 20.

"I am truly sorry," Kraft said in a statement on Saturday. "I know I have hurt and disappointed my family, my close friends, my co-workers, our fans and many others who rightfully hold me to a higher standard."
