OPINION oh boy here we go again

Never thought I'd see the day where Marxism was starting to be looked at seriously in this country. Here's an interesting video and I'll definitely check out some of the books Marx wrote. I don't agree with everything he said but I definitely think some of his philosophies should be taken into consideration.

Marxism was bound to seep in here ,a lot far right sites tend to believe BLM is a front for Marxist and Socialist ideals to slowly take over America's way of Capitalism with bigger government intervention etc

KKK was believing that back in the day and the Feds viewed the Black Panthers as communists. Nothing really changes they need to view a black movement as something that disrupts the order.

They're so brainwashed that any system or ideas that go against Capitalism are viewed as Anti-American.

Marx wrote his books over 150 years ago so alot of his philosophies and ideas are dated. He was also wrong in almost everyway he expected the revolution to pop off.

He expected the revolution to start in a country that already went through industirial revolution and was developed. His primary target was England. when reading his writings, keep in mind hes talking to and about people living in london, who were already going through a daily rat race.

Marx is a great starting point to understand communism and capitalism but almost all of his ideas have been modernized by modern philosophers like Murray Boochin and they make much more sense.

Btw, the communist manifesto is just Marxs rally call to start a revolution. Thats why its written in that style.

To really understand Marx's philosophy, yall need to read 'Capital'. I read all 3 volumes as a teenager. I forgot a ton of it though. I should re read them.

I'll definitely check that out then. I'm keeping an open mind and interested in learning about all the concepts and ideas that were thought of as alternatives to Capitalism.

Capitalism is very much flawed but still feel it’s the best starting point for a society.

Its definetly not. There are much better systems in place today. And none of them are communism. The system in Canada is a ton better than the hyper capitalism we see in the US. Scandanavia has this shit figured out.

That’s why is said flawed.

I’ll have to read up on Scandinavia

I’ll have to read up on Scandinavia but they don’t have a population they are actively trying to keep down.

Word but needing a population to keep down is a direct result of a capitalist system.

in this weeks episode of Black capitalist need to be burned at the stake. a young lady is selling $40 durags on ....melrose?!?!

smh. enough is enough.

why would anyone with sense pay $40 for a durag because you decided to open up shop in an expensive area and need help covering your booth rent????

I don't get the outrage here. If her product is stupid no one has to buy it. People unnecessarily overpricing shit to fleece people with money isn't what's wrong with capitalism. People artificially raising prices for goods and services that others need to survive is what's wrong with capitalism. Who cares about what this chick is doing? It's not hurting anyone.

no need to make a thread:

eric williams - capitalism and slavery
the communist manifesto - marx

racial capitalism, Black internationalism, and cultures of resistance - robinson
the new human rights movement - joseph
the color of money -baradaran
the color of law - rothstein

just starters. ive highlighted the ones ive actually read and the ones i plan on reading

goddammit I fuckin knew it!!!!

"... See, what Marx is saying is that the oppression of the proletariat is an essential facet of the exploitation inherent in the system..." <<---- @Race Jones talking to folks at the ABW cookout.

It seems you're a really good person at heart. Honestly I'm not even trying to be funny with my words. It certainly needs to be more folks like how you are in the world.

Unfortunately self preservation is real. Their isn't many folks these days willing to give their last to another person without 1st knowing where their next is coming from. Not too mention it isn't many people who believe in sharing in general. Unless it's something they can get from it..

Facts! and thank you

This is corruption not capitalism. In other words there's no way around survival of the fittest playing itself out with humans regardless of the system. You're never going to see everyone end up with the same wealth and resources allowing things to even out naturally. Nature's going to have it's haves and have nots. And if you think resources and power is schewed under capitalist system. Let's see what socialism and communism look like with all this gov intervention and control and 'evening out' of the playing field.
