According to the Wrestling Observer, NXT women’s division star Io Shirai suffered a knee injury on this past week’s episode of NXT television, and will miss a minimum of two months of in-ring action. The “Genius of the Sky” landed awkwardly on her leg after connecting on a dive with Toni Storm, a bout that would end in a no-contest due to interference from number one contender, Bianca Belair.

Shira posted a picture of a knee brace to her Twitter page when she was listed as “day to day” by WWE. You can see that below.

According to Pro Wrestling Sheet, WWE champion Brock Lesnar got into a verbal altercation with NXT superstar Matt Riddle during tonight’s Royal Rumble event. Reports are that Lesnar and Riddle had a tense encounter after passing each other backstage. Sources on-site have claimed that this is not storyline, and that the Beast was scary with his taunts.

Riddle also had that awkward interaction with Goldberg at SummerSlam that was later aired on the WWE network. The King of Bros has been very public about his feelings on Goldberg, and has talked about “retiring” Lesanr many times in the past.

AJ Styles suffered an arm injury during the Royal Rumble match, PWInsider.com has learned. Styles was hurt landing awkwardly on his left shoulder after taking a spear from Edge. Styles came up holding his left arm and it appeared his arm was dangling. He was then eliminated.

Just before his elimination, a referee stepped up to the apron to communicate with Edge, who then eliminated Styles. Several officials and medical personnel immediately attended to Styles and we are told he was examined upon returning to the backstage area. Styles was seen backstage after the match with his arm all wrapped up and was icing it..

We are told Styles will be undergoing tests to determine the severity of the injury and how much time, if any, he will need to take off.
More as we confirm it.

Vic Joseph wasn’t on the desk at any point during the Royal Rumble pay-per-view (PPV) and that seemed strange, considering he has been the lead commentator for Monday Night Raw since Michael Cole was moved to SmackDown when it moved to FOX last October. The reason for that is simple.

He’s not going to be the lead commentator on Raw anymore.

That’s according to PW Insider, who report the decision was made sometime within the last week to replace Joseph with Tom Phillips, who did work the Royal Rumble. Phillips had been doing lead commentary for NXT UK, which he had taken over for Joseph. Before that, he was working the desk on SmackDown.

No word was given on why this move was made.

watched a replay of that aj injury, he landed bad af...
it was all him too....he was tryna sell edges spear and landed wrong...

but i gotta say, it's crazy how fast they got aj out, but left beth in there leaking for damn near a half hour

As reported earlier, Beth Phoenix made her surprise return to the ring in the 2020 Women’s Royal Rumble match. The Glamazon outlasted a lot many Superstars and made it all the way to the final moments of the match.

However, Phoenix suffered a head injury early on after she entered the match. Phoenix, who entered at #19, smacked her head on a ring post after taking a punch from Bianca Belair on the top turnbuckle. This seems to be the reason behind her vicious head injury.

Throughout the match, Phoenix’s bloody head was very visible and yet she continued working the match till the very end.

We hope that Phoenix is fine and this isn’t anything major. We’ll keep you updated on this situation.

Man she was leaking bad as shit . The refs were just ignoring it at first but then it looked like they were trying to talk her out of the ring but she was trying to stay in.

All so she could do that spot with Santino cause it would of made no sense w/ out her being in the ring.

I still would of pulled her and called an audible or something tho. There had to be other women backstage who could of went in

My girl went to the bathroom right before Santino came out and came back right after he was eliminated...she would of checked the fuck out if she saw that lol she already dislikes a man wrestling in AEW womens divison.

ProWrestlingSheet.com is reporting that Andrade has been suspended by WWE for 30 days due to a Wellness Policy violation. Ryan Satin noted the following:

"Sources tell us Andrade – real name Manuel Oropeza – was told of the suspension this morning. It’s unclear what substance he tested positive for at this time."

The angle on RAW with Humberto giving Andrade the Hammerlock DDT on the exposed floor was done to write Andrade off television.

Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com provided the following update regarding Samoa Joe's apparent injury on WWE RAW:

“The belief is that Joe has a concussion which is obviously not a good thing. That’s not 100%, but that was the belief a couple of hours ago. A concussion is the kind of unpredictable injury where you know he could be back next Monday or he could be back in six months you just don’t know. So, yeah that’s the situation he landed on his head and got a concussion.”

Meltzer also discussed the report from ProWrestlingSheet.comthat Andrade was suspended by WWE for violating the company's Wellness policy:

“Andrade is suspended that’s why they did the angle tonight where Humberto Carrillo DDT’ed him on the concrete to explain him being out for the 30 days and the decision was made — it was a Paul Heyman decision — to keep the title on Andrade. The usual protocol would be for him to lose the title as well, but Heyman is very high on Andrade and felt it was too early to put the title on Carrillo.”

Good call on Paul..

and wow at the original RR winners

Shayna and Roman

they made the right call on changing the men’s winner but screwed it all the way up w the women’s
