bruh i'm hitting up the tank fight this weekend..

but props to being in the building for the big one!!

That's a good move though. Enjoy that shit. I might come down just to hit the horseshoe casino after the fight. I like coming down there for shows. I saw Mike Epps at the Royal Farms arena a few years ago.

I'm pressed to see Tank fight someone who is going to test him. I think he got the ability to rise to the occasion but I just want to see it.

Tickets go on sale at 3pm est. I get off work at 3 but I'm staying a few minutes late to order these tickets before I leave. LLS

Andy Ruiz: I'm More Comfortable With Joshua Rematch in U.S.
Heavyweight contender Andy Ruiz is still negotiating the details of his rematch with Anthony Joshua.

Last month, Ruiz pulled off a shocker when he stopped Joshua in seven rounds. He dropped Joshua four times before the contest was waved off at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

The win have Ruiz the WBA, WBO, IBF, IBO world titles.

The rematch is being targeted for a date in December.

Joshua's promoter, Eddie Hearn, says Cardiff is the frontrunner to host.

But Ruiz is motivated to bring the bout back to the United States.

Ruiz would like to topple Joshua and then move forward with a fight against WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder.

"We’re still in negotiations, they [are] trying to make us go over there," Ruiz said on Fox Sports.

"We are trying to get it back here in New York. I’d be more comfortable here. Me and [Wilder] we’re in the same team, I just got to beat Anthony Joshua and then we’ll move onto the next."

Wilder and Ruiz are both managed by Al Haymon and fight under the Premier Boxing Champions banner.

Should Ruiz get past Joshua for a second time, making a fight with Wilder will be easy to make.

And Wilder was very pleased with Ruiz's ability to pull off the upset - and he told the Mexican-American that he was happy for him during an interview session with the two boxers.

"I think it’s been this way for a long time since Lennox Lewis. I’m just happy what you did you brought a different type of energy to the heavyweight division – a new face. ‘You go and do the unexpected and change it all up," Wilder said.

Hearn: Joshua Will Decide Rematch Location - NOT Andy Ruiz

Eddie Hearn, promoter for Anthony Joshua, has made it clear that his boxer will be the one who decides where the Andy Ruiz rematch takes place.

There has been a lot of talk, mainly from Ruiz, stating that he's the A-side of the equation and holds the keys to the rematch location.

Ruiz shocked the world last month, Ruiz dropped Joshua four times to secure a seventh round stoppage and captured the IBF, IBO, WBA, WBO heavyweight titles.

There is a rematch clause, which Joshua exercised.

Despite Ruiz's numerous statements in the media with respect to money and making the fight in Mexico, most promoters will establish the rematch location, and the financial terms, in the initial bout agreement.

So when Ruiz signed on for the first bout, the rematch terms were already outlined in that contract.

Ruiz took the fight as a late replacement for Jarrell Miller, who was pulled from the fight after failing three drug tests.

“Andy Ruiz Jr is an honorable stand up guy. He knows what he signed and it wasn’t unfair what he signed but he has contractual obligations that he has to meet now. Andy Ruiz was chosen from a group of people because we believed he would be the best most competitive fight for Anthony Joshua – we were right," Hearn told IFL TV.

“And then, if he was to win that fight, as set out in the contract there were a number of terms that he would have to adhere to. It’s very standard. It’s not, ‘oh that was out of order, he is the A-side now’.

"No, this was what was agreed by both parties. Negotiated and agreed. Joshua will be the one who ultimately decides where that fight takes place.”

Pulev reinstated following ban for unwanted kiss
Heavyweight contender Kubrat Pulev was reinstated by the California State Athletic Commission in a 6-0 vote at a meeting in San Diego on Monday following his suspension in May for kissing a female reporter on the lips without her consent.

Following a seventh-round knockout victory over Bogdan Dinu on March 23 in an ESPN-televised main event in Costa Mesa, California, Pulev did a video interview with the Vegas Sports Daily's Jennifer Ravalo -- also known as Jennifer Sushe -- after which he kissed her on the lips, much to her surprise.

Ravalo hired celebrity attorney Gloria Allred and threatened legal action. In May, the California commission suspended Pulev over the incident, fined him $2,500 and ordered him to complete a course on sexual harassment before he could reapply on Monday.

Pulev (27-1, 14 KOs), 38, of Bulgaria, apologized to Ravalo at the May meeting and went on to comply with the commission's directive.

"It was good hearing. Everybody's side was heard again and the bottom line is Kubrat Pulev has complied over and above what was requested of him," Ivaylo Gotzev of Epic Sports, which co-promotes Pulev with Top Rank, told ESPN. "The more important part is Kubrat Pulev wants to do more in the future. The whole world has an opinion on this situation and we want to educate and show by example how things should be handled and how athletes should behave.

"This was a lesson well learned and now we want to help others not make a mistake like this one. Kubrat is a great person and wants to help others. He's going to educate others how they should act in these situations."

Pulev is the mandatory challenger for one of the world titles held by Andy Ruiz Jr., who knocked out Anthony Joshua in the seventh round in a massive upset on June 1 to win three belts. Ruiz is supposed to meet Joshua in a rematch this fall.

"Kubrat has been training over the past few months," Gotzev said. "He is the No. 1 mandatory contender for the IBF belt and now it's time for us to demand the opportunity to fight for the belt against the current champion Andy Ruiz."

Gotzev and Epic Sports partner John Wirt are due to meet with Top Rank chairman Bob Arum later on Monday to discuss the next move for Pulev now that he is free to fight again.

"We're meeting with Arum to talk about different proposals and we'll see what he's got," Wirt told ESPN. "Maybe we will go the IBF route and it could be Ruiz. Maybe a fight with Tyson Fury could be in the mix. You never know."

Pulev has won seven fights in a row since he challenged then-unified world champion Wladimir Klitschko as a mandatory opponent in November 2014 and suffered a fifth-round knockout loss.

Think about it Pacman at age 40, beating boxers 10 years younger, that are in their prime, world champions, and unbeaten?!

where they do that at?

xytqgoywcij21.jpg

Not all of them were unbeaten but Hop was beating top level boxer at age 40. He almost turn 50 before he couldn't do it anymore lol. Hopkins at 40+ was very impressive.

A lot of people were sleeping on Manny thinking for some reason it would be an easy fight for Thurman. Manny isn't in his prime but he's still got that speed and he's an overall better fighter than Thurman. There's a reason why he's an all time great fighter. Thurman talked the talk but couldn't walk the walk. I give Thurman credit for the post fight. Not a sore loser and he gave Pac his well deserved respect.

Pac doesn't shy away from big fights. I wouldn't be surprised if he wants Spence next year (If Spence beats Porter).

Pac is probably still the fastest boxer on the planet .. and to be probably in hand and footspeed is ridiculous he doesnt have great foot work but speed kills

Terrible news, RIP Mad Max...

I thought he was gonna pull through after they relieved the bleeding... Too many fighters seem to have started getting serious injuries again, there was a period in the 80s or 90s when there seemed to be quite a few, then none or very few for something like 15 years or so, now there seems to be a problem again...

Canelo-Derevyanchenko Deal In Works; IBF Purse Bid Postponed

By Keith Idec

Canelo Alvarez’s promoters expressed enough recent interest in making a deal to fight Sergiy Derevyanchenko next that their IBF purse bid scheduled for Tuesday was postponed.

Multiple sources have informed BoxingScene.com that Golden Boy Promotions and Lou DiBella, Derevyanchenko’s promoter, are negotiating for Alvarez to make a mandatory defense of his IBF middleweight title versus Derevyanchenko either in October or November. Alvarez announced Wednesday that he would not fight September 14 because he and Golden Boy Promotions needed more time to put together a deal for him to face a top opponent.

Mexico’s Alvarez (52-1-2, 35 KOs) had hoped to move up two weight classes to challenge WBO light heavyweight champion Sergey Kovalev (33-3-1, 28 KOs) on that date. Kovalev’s handlers couldn’t come to an agreement with Golden Boy, thus he’ll make a mandatory defense of his 175-pound title against England’s Anthony Yarde (18-0, 17 KOs) on August 24 in Chelyabinsk, Russia, Kovalev’s hometown.

The 29-year-old Alvarez adamantly has refused to take a third fight against middleweight rival Gennadiy Golovkin. DAZN signed Alvarez and Golovkin to nine-figure contracts once HBO got out of boxing last fall in hopes of matching them again and boosting subscriptions for the fledgling streaming service.

John Skipper, DAZN’s executive chairman, previously had approved only Kovalev and Golovkin as potential opponents for Alvarez’s next fight. If Alvarez doesn’t defend his IBF championship against Derevyanchenko, however, he’ll risk being stripped.

Alvarez, who also owns the WBA and WBC 160-pound crowns, won the IBF title by beating Daniel Jacobs in their middleweight title unification match May 4 in Las Vegas.

Ukraine’s Derevyanchenko (13-1, 10 KOs) has lost only a split decision to Daniel Jacobs (35-3, 29 KOs) in their 12-round fight for the then-vacant IBF middleweight title last October 27 in New York. The 33-year-old Derevyanchenko defeated Ecuador’s Jack Culcay (26-4, 13 KOs) by unanimous decision in his last fight, a 12-rounder April 13 in Minneapolis.

If Golden Boy and DiBella can’t come to an agreement and the IBF strips Alvarez, the No. 1-rated Derevyanchenko could fight Golovkin for that title.

The 37-year-old Golovkin (39-1-1, 35 KOs), ranked No. 3 by the IBF, is its next leading available contender. The No. 2 spot in the IBF’s middleweight ratings is unoccupied.

The IBF stripped Golovkin of its middleweight title in June 2018 for not making an overdue mandatory defense against Derevyanchenko. Golovkin instead fought a rematch against Alvarez, who won a majority decision in their 12-rounder September 15 in Las Vegas.

Khan: If No Pac, There is Garcia, Spence-Porter Winner, Thurman

Last week, Amir Khan announced that a deal had been reached, and contracts were signed, for a huge November fight with Manny Pacquiao in Saudi Arabia.

Within a few hours, Pacquiao and his handlers denied any knowledge of a deal and maintained that they had never discussed a November fight with Khan.

"I was told the contracts between myself and Manny Pacquiao had been signed," Khan explained to Sky Sports News. My advisors told me the fight had been signed so I went on and announced that the fight is signed and hopefully we will be looking at maybe later in the year.

"Then Manny came back and said that fight isn't happening. It's just one of those things. I looked at it and if it's not there for me, then it's not there for me. I had a date on November 8 in Saudi Arabia in Riyadh, I'll be focusing on that but I'd love it to be Manny Pacquiao, if it's not Manny Pacquiao we move on to someone else."

This past Saturday night, Pacquiao turned back the clock in winning a twelve round decision over Keith Thurman to capture the WBA welterweight title.

Earlier this month, Khan blew away Billy Dib in a one-sided fight in Jeddah to claim the vacant WBC International welterweight strap, which elevated him to a top five position in the rankings.

"The welterweight division in boxing has to be one of the toughest in the world," said Khan.

"I'm still in the top 10 rankings over there in the welterweight division, so I just feel that the likes of Keith Thurman, you've got Shawn Porter who's fighting [Errol] Spence, the winner of that fight is available.

"There's talk about Manny Pacquiao, whether that happens or if that doesn't happen, then a Danny Garcia rematch is another one which could happen. There are some big names out there in the welterweight division that I can make some good fights with and hopefully we can get something signed off in the next couple of weeks."
