Nah. The advice given about the long term deal is take the long term deal cause you never know what might happen. Usually the worry is an injury, but end of the day, you never know what happens.

The china situation and covid are someshit you didnt know will happen.

Im not even saying the short term contracts are bad or their decisions were wrong. Just saying when people say take the years cause you never know, this is what they mean.

Maybe I misunderstood your position then

At the time, maybe the move was to take the shorter deal to parlay that into a longer deal with another team

NBA ratings been trash even in the postseason. They need to do something different
