NASA’s InSight has successfully landed on Mars after a 7mth journey

Just going to use this thread as the Universe Thread..




When I was a kid, Jupiter only had like 9 moons or something like that. I remember being in grade school when more were discovered somewhere around the late 70's early 80's and ever since then they keep finding more and more.
 
China made history landing in a crater on the darkside of the moon hours ago. Rover is on the move.

First Man the Neil Armstrong movie has a sequence with Leon Bridges reciting whitey on the moon
 
Y'all really believe they sending satellites etc to all these planets in such a short time ? ? Isn't Pluto Jupiter Mars Venus suppose to be light years away
 
A "light year" is roughly 6 TRILLION miles.

Mars is 35mill miles away

The sun is about 100mill

Yea, Titan has rivers, oceans, lakes...it's just full of of liquid methane instead of water lol

Ganymede is another interesting possibility. It actually has salt water oceans under a layer of ice. They believe the geothermal energy is hat keeps the water liquid and able to potentially support life.
