We're only, what... a bit over 2 years in to the next story???

2 years into the Infinity Saga and they had just hit Iron Man 2, although you could argue that we're around the point where Thor was released.

yeah, because what they were doing was completely new back then.

I do think they're gonna need to slow this train down tho and tie up some shit to get a coherent story going. Granted at this same point in time for the Infinity Saga, watching Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk, Iron Man 2 and Thor you really only got the sense that the characters belonged to a shared universe and that's really about it; there wasn't an overarching story just yet. Even if you want to say that we're into the 2nd phase of Multiverse, at about the same point with Infinity you still didn't have a real story fleshed out, just a bunch of interconnected flicks, same here.
 


While recently speaking with Radio Times magazine, the actor, who played villain Dreykov in the Scarlett Johansson-led 2021 action-packed spy thriller, admitted that filming the Marvel movie “was fine until you have to do the reshoots.”

“Then you find out that a few producers have come down, and your performance is too much, it’s too strong… That’s the way Marvel works,” Winstone said. “It can be soul-destroying because you feel like you’re doing great work.”
