Welcome To aBlackWeb

Interesting take... not sure that applies to the MCU movies though...hell Captain America: Civil War was essentially an Avengers movie itself

It certainly doesn't apply to these movies. Marvel had a story they wanted to tell, but couldn't fit it into 1 movie, so they had to split it up. They should always prioritize telling a good story over maintaining some arbitrary numbering for a movie collection.

They will.

Heard the next story arc might be Secret Invasion with the Skrulls

Dope shit...

If you thought IW was crazy...Secret Invasion would be even crazier

The action scenes

The tone of the movie seemed dull

The fight scenes should have been top notch with BP being elite in all forms of fighting.

i think this is a legit criticism, but i'm just on the other end of the spectrum

i think the next movie will have better action and fighting scenes, but i think there was a lot going on in this one so they had to put the focus in other areas.

I don't think the criticism of BP's fighting style is legit. He showed off skill and a variety of techniques. The "he knows every martial art" thing is just some comic book hyperbole. The point is he's a capable fighter that excels in all aspects of the fight game, and I think they showed that pretty well.

Why was BP great.

I need reasons

Im not a fan of Marvel comics but...

First all Black superhero comic book adaptation with big funding and a billion dollar plus box office receipt...

Characters were African acted out by Africans in diaspora... That's what I loved most about it...

In terms of entertainment value... It was straight

i mean, i wish there was some more hand to hand stuff as well, but im not docking the movie a point b/c it wasnt made a primary thing to display in the the film

The only real gripe i had about BP was the final fight between Killmonger and Panther. Went from being real af to complete CGI and it just didnt transition too well imo. I also didnt like the way Killmonger delivered his lines. I know hes the villain, but he just seemed like a huge douchebag lol.

Besides that shit i thought it was great and one of the better stories marvel told.

The CG wasn’t good for a lot of Black Panther and the casino fight scene with Chadwick Bozeman wasn’t that great. Danai’s fight scene was great in the casino and you could tell she was used to doing fight scenes or her stunt double was great but Chadwick looked hella stiff.

In Civil War Black Panther’s fight scenes were the best in the movie but they were all in the suit which was no doubt the stunt double and the reason it looked great.

Overall I loved the movie but it wasn’t better than Winter Solider, Infinity War and Civil War in my opinion. So at beast I would place it fourth out of the Marvel Cinematic Universe films

I guess it depends on what you prioritize. You basically just focused totally on the action, but I'm pretty sure the story and performances are why people rate the movie so high.

I liked the movie a lot. I just pointed out some of the issues I had with it, nothing more and nothing less.

I liked the movie and the symbolism it showed.

This is the reason 90% of the people went to see it

Niether was most of the peoplec watching the movie...

I'm glad the honeymoon stage is over and niggaz can start being real...
