Lifetime’s “Surviving R. Kelly” Docuseries(aka The #MeToo Summer Jam Screen series) Trailer

Tariq is trying to minimize what Kelly did IMO
No, he’s not. He’s looking at the bigger picture; who has the money to actually lynch and bring black people down, because black people alone sure as hell don’t have the same power to do this to white folks at all. And since this was a social media lynching; black people have given them the green light to destroy anyone of us simply on hearsay and tears. I’m not going into every detail; but the shit he did was years ago; and he got a legal and monetary reckoning with both. Meanwhile they aren’t going after any other self-admitted members of the so-called sex ring with gusto, as they are with him, meaning this isn’t about justice afterall.

A grown woman admitted before cameras, that she gave sex lessons to all the other incoming young women in how to make R. Kelly cum. Then she allowed her young niece to join the group. Then there are the women that admitted that their relatives knew where they were all along, and made deals with Robert to live in his residences. Nobody is howling with anger about these people at all.

I'm saying they should have been outraged back in '94, especially dream "I'm from Tha D" hampton.

When the shit first came out in '94, niggas that knew Aaliyah personally had already been talking. The marriage license just told niggas that the rumors about her and Kells were 100% true. dream hampton is from Detroit. Wherever she was at when the news broke, guarantee you somebody she knew still in Detroit had already called her up and let her know what the streets was saying.

But let's say that nobody made that call to her. She worked at Vibe when they ran the article, so she knew even then that he was a dirty chester. Why not make a bigger deal about it back then? All those victims from 1994 to now... Some of that is on her hands as it is with everyone else in the industry that could have spoken up.

Don't act holy today after letting the devil skate by for so long.

Well, she's at least admitting she could have done more.
