Lets talk credit and credit cards?

I been having my credit card for 2 years. All I do is use up to 10% then pay off nearly the monthly bill, but will always leave $10 on the balance, so it can always look like that I consistently owe them. My score shot up over 100 points. I also heard if you make two payments within the same month then your score will increase faster too

It works, just be safe

this is what I did, paid two payments in May/ start of June.

Paying your credit card off right away doesn’t boost your credit and doesn’t help when you go to buy a home or need some financing..

They need to see you carry debt and be able to pay it down overtime. If you paying debt off right away get a payday loan.

It definitely boost mind overtime from December - June. But I see some people do keep a small amount of debt like the guy said he keeps $10.

but I’m listening to any advice

I use to charge shit and pay it off quick. A lender told me straight up my credit was most likely under 7 because of that. I was told I had to show I could carry debt. How do you show someone you could pay debt over multiple payments if you pay it off right away?

A home loan is 30 years. Car loan 4-5 years. Someone lending you $200,000+ don’t care about $150 charges you paid off in 2 weeks.

$1000 to $2000 and pay off quick (or overtime in months), increase that 6 to a 7. I will definitely try something soon or during August

Got me a fire travels reward card that I put everything on and pay off end of the month.

Im talking everything. All the bills that accept CCs, groceries, gas, a pack of gum, whatever.

Been flying first class doing that
What card?

Need to pay mine off. Limit increased last month and just gotta pay it down it has not hurt my credit really just need more discipline. Before I had the card I didn’t really have a deep credit history

Shout Out @LoganMcDaniels for the bump as I was just thinking I needed a new card cause it's been easily 4-5yrs since I had one

What card?
Capital one venture x. Its objectively the best travel rewards card on the market.

They basically give you a penny on every dollar spent. And 3 pennies for a bunch of shit like gas and groceries. And 5 cents for flights. And 10 cents for hotels.

They give enough credits a year to pay for their annual fee.

With my expenses, that adds up to a free trip or two a year

my sisters do this when the family goes out. They just tell me to zelle them my share and one of them pays the bill with their credit card for the points

Unfortunately my credit is so awful that I’m gonna have to file for bankruptcy soon
Been there, done that fam.

Shits no big deal. I had a credit like a month after filing and got car loans at 0.9 in just a year and a mortgage was the lowest possible.

File that for that shit and get a clean start fam. Shit has zero to no impact, especially if you already have bad credit.

Its always funny when folks do the "I dont mess with credit cards" spill. First thing I was taught as an adult was how to work credit cards to pay all your bills you would of paid with your debit anyway. Keep atleast 2-3 in rotation and pay all my expenses on them then just pay it off. Cash back perks and credit rising is a no brainer.

Wait. How long ago did you file? Isn’t it 7 years that you have until you can get credit again?

Nah fam. Its just 7/10 years until its no longer on your credit report. And its 7 years before you can file again. You can start building credit and getting credit cards right away.

Its gonna be 10 years in September since I filed and the shit still comes up on my credit report. Lmaoooo.

But its impacted me none

Anything can be beneficial if you have control and restraint and make a plan to keep it organized.

It's the impulsive folk who get it fucked up
