Gangsta rap was already being done on the east. Another west coast artist would've came along and bit the east.

Also his first ammendment advocacy and fighting the govt over censorship and other free speech violations back in the early 90s is legendary. Along with 2 Live Crew he helped clear a path for the future of expressing free speech in music. Which has benefitted all of us ever since. Artists and listeners.

That was mainly Luke who did that.

That may be so but it was HIS music and not Schoolly D (who for the record Ice-T was influenced by) that inspired NWA, DJ Quik and Above the Law to break out with a sound of their own. They have all said as much. Who knows if that would've happened otherwise. For all we know Quik would've became a modern p funk artist.

This is so untrue.

Hence why The Iceberg album even existed. Furthermore he further escalated it and brought it to them when he formed Body Count and dropped Cop Killer.

Nigga what? lol

The first album with the advisory sticker was 2 live crews. The supreme court case regarding freedom of speech in music is named after Luke.

And? How does that make it mainly Luke? Did he spearhead? Sure but he certainly wasn't the only one going hard for that cause back then. Also prior to the Parental Advisory sticker many rap albums still had content warnings on the cover. Usually a small caption box. It was more an evolution of something that already existed.
