How much does your barber or hairdresser charge you?

Curious to know how much you pay. My barber charges $35 (Canadian but with tip I give him $40) for haircut and facial hair shape up. Also how often in a month?

I've been considering locs for religious reasons but are they hard to maintain? My hair is naturally curly and coarse. Moms use to have my hair permed in the 80's because when it got too high it was hard to comb.
