Outside of a potentially abusive situation?

I learned from my dad that shit can get intense.....so he kept an apartment.
Once my mom found out about it, things calmed down drastically.

he would just leave and come back when he felt she calmed down.....but when he came back. She was right at his neck again about being away.

the apartment made her learn she couldn’t kick him out into the streets cuz he was already set up elsewhere.

And he said if it ever gets to point where it’s about to get physical....come get the keys, don’t drink all the beer and disturb the neighbors.

I offer the same to my homies and kids and they kids.
