Not a thread derail but your understanding of that deal is off. There was so much more to it than less than 1 percent of the nets and he didn’t put up any money to get that less than 1 percent.
my point was that he didnt have a controlling share to really have a say in the matter
now if he negotiated stuff as an ambassador for the team like drake does for the raptors (courtside seats, public appearances, etc..), then ok
in short, they were going to brookly regardless of Jay'z involvement

SUICIDE THREAT PROMPTS POLICE RESPONSE
Harvey Weinstein's daughter called 911 to say her dad was suicidal Wednesday morning, and police responded ... TMZ has learned.
According to law enforcement, Weinstein was at his 22-year-old daughter Remy's place when their argument spilled out onto the street. We're told Harvey yelled to her, "You're making it worse" ... and then flagged down a random vehicle driving past, begging for a ride.
We're told Remy convinced her father to go back in the house, and shortly thereafter -- around 10:30 AM -- LAPD and her alarm company showed up.
Law enforcement sources confirm officers responded to a call from Remy, who said her father was "suicidal and depressed." When they arrived ... Harvey had already left the home.
We're told when officers arrived Remy told them no suicidal statements were made, and it was purely a family dispute.
As of now, we're told Weinstein is still in L.A., but planning to fly out of town -- possibly to a rehab center -- before day's end.

Do you know the 2nd in command of Rocnation and the 2nd in command of the company that runs the nets and the Barclays Center are twin brothers? The Nets deal was a land and stadium deal that the Nets just happened to be part of. Not saying it wouldn’t have happened without him at all but it is much deeper than the .01 percent of the Nets.
Jay was a PR move and a essentially a mascot to help with recruiting young talent.....how many impressionable 20 ear olds wanna hang out in brooklyn with jay-z?

This dude lost his company, his wife is leaving him and all his friends are turning their backs on him, I can see why he's suicidal.
