I think the outrage is overplayed, but it seems like you're kinda missing an important point. People seem to be mad at this chick largely because they feel she has made a point of separating herself from black people and in some cases outright hating on black people. The Pun song you included for example doesn't distance Ricans from Blacks. An implied point is that we're kinda about the same shit.
