Nothing. He just tends to call dudes faggots as a generic insult. It's just one of those cultural things. Gays interpret every use of that word as an attack on them, but honestly, I've never known that word to be 100% about gays. Where I'm from it was typically used to refer to an effeminate man or to attack a guy's manhood. Like most people I know probably wouldn't immediately think "faggot" when they saw a super masculine gay dude despite his sexuality.
