My wife started watching this on the way home from WV & I finally watched the first episode. It's a documentary series about this dude being forced to rob a bank in Pennslyvania & the story is just too crazy to explain in full. Plan on finishing the rest of it later today but so far.. it's fuckin out there.

Its possibly the craziest story I've heard and one of best doc series I've seen in recent memory. I watched it all in 2 days it was so good. Never heard of the case till the doc. My mind was/still is blown.

That blue van that the detective seen but they never followed up on could of solved case in 2 days. Shit was crazy when the film maker popped up at Rothsteins house and low and behold a blue van was there.

It's crazy cuz my wife peeped it before It was mentioned like wait a damn minute lol.
 
Also the prostitute did homie filthy! Damn shame. At first I thought maybe he was in on it, especially when they tried to say he was at a pre planning meeting but they fucked up mentioning he was waiting on his money for the pizza. That right there, plus the confession by the prostitute leads me to believe he had no clue.
 
That ho broke the whole thing for Barnes. All them fuckas are crazy and deserve what they got.

Yeah I don't think he knew but it was weird for him to be so calm about it.
Guess he was in denial but its sad because he probably thought that shit really was a game since they knew about his love for scavenger hunts.
 
These mf'ers would of all got away with it if they didn't turn on each other. Rothstein fucked them all by reporting that body in the freezer.

If yall like this the Duplass brothers have another doc series called "wild wild country" about a cult that takes over a small town in oregon and causes a bunch of shit. Pretty good. I like evil genius more just because of the story but it's still real good

How did the FBI / Pennsylvania State Police get outsmarted by a bunch of small town folks from Pennsylvania? Marge was even able to manipulate / charm the documentary narrator.

They almost got away with it to which is wild

All of that planning for $8,000 instead of getting $250,000
