Do Louisiana Creoles Consider Themselves African-American?

I'm learning more about the Creoles and I wonder do they consider themselves AA because I heard that Louisiana Creoles consider themselves a distinct group. Also, are there a lot of them in the U.S.? I read that they're over four million to 200,000 of them. I keep seeing different results.
