But it wasn't critically acclaimed or successful at the Box Office, so why would you think it paved the road for anything?

Spawn debut at #2 against "Air Force One". Fact
Blade debut at #1 over "Saving Private Ryan". Fact
Blade stayed at #1. Fact
Spawn fell to #3 the following week with significantly less than half the revenue of the opening week. Fact
Blade featured a Black lead and had an adult rating. Fact
At the time, Spawn was far more recognizable as a comic character due to previous video games and an animated series based on the character. Fact
Blade was barely known even by comic book aficionados. Fact.
By 1997 Image Comics had already redefined the comic book industry. Fact.
Image also had an animated series prior to Spawn on HBO: The Maxx on MTV, so Spawn didn't need to come from Marvel or DC. Fact

But keep trying to believe that Blade didn't rescue the genre.

I'm not sure how this is even an argument. Some of the people behind the current wave of comic book movies have credited Blade with starting the wave. I haven't heard anyone ever give that credit to Spawn.

Because Du is being dense and refuses to give up on his beloved Spawn.

The only thing anyone even remembers about that movie is his CGI cape and John Leguizamo as Violator basically stealing the show every scene he was in.

Truth be told I'm surprised he hasn't brought up Meteor Man and put it up against Blade.

Look at her Phoenix outfit. Are they trolling? The Phoenix Saga alone should be a trilogy on some Lord of the Rings shit. Not this rushed bullshit. Thank god Disney bought Fox so we aren’t subjected to this bullshit anymore.

Hmmm.....doesn't look bad.

The incel nerd fanboys who used to beat off to these pages are gonna find a way to say it's wrong tho. Lol
