never liked it and never been good at it. I speak when I want and prefer not to be spoken to unless I've spoken to you before. Anything more than a general question irritates the fuck out of me.
Most success I've had is with striking up a convo based on a mutual interest but given how black nerds weren't cool til the MCU, it was hard to find a place for that to happen naturally.
Wife barged in on a convo I was having with a mutual friend on facebook regarding Naruto. I kept it about nerd culture until convo got too long for texting.
