OPINION Black people vs everybody

Race Jones

gangster. grace. alchemy
why are calls of solidarity always placed on Black ppl? like hear me out, I dont want to see anyone get hurt but Im tired of other races depending on us to save them from the throes of yt supremacy, as if they dont cling to white supremacist capitalism when its beneficial for them. IM DRAINED. IM TIRED. as someone said on facebook “asians have played into the model minority myth and used that to oppress Black people. Yes we should condemn yt pathological behavior but do we forget how Asian communities as a whole have treated black people????”

WE grasp the concept of solidarity, its other races that seem to be struggling...

There are so many variables that go into your statement and ideas of black solidarity with others. There is no single, silver bullet.

For one, American black people have no national identity because of our past. We can't even decide on what to call ourselves. Are we black, afro-american, african-american, or people of color?

Secondly, other ethnic groups have enticed us with perceived incentives that never equal the effort we put into supporting them. Think feminism.

Third, we can't even get along with ourselves on a mass scale. The split between blacks who are democrats and republicans is an example.

Lastly, you are going to have a self-induced, stressful life if these little things make you tired. You can't control what others say or do.

Just try to be a good person and live your best life. Many of us have amazing opportunities in 2021. Life isn't good for everyone, and accepting the fact that you can't save everyone will help you sleep better at night.

The angry, black, militant woman doesn't have a retirement plan. And never will.

Go smoke some weed or something.

Being a watcher is a thankless job.
We need watchers.

Never admonish those that are willing to put in the effort you are not.

Keep tending to the lighthouse Race.

are you white?

Black Americans can't help nobody until we help ourselves. Hence the point of anti black white supremacist forcing black Americans to be the emotional pets for everyone else.

we know what to call ourselves we are African American that’s it

It’s like this we are waaaaay to nice to outsiders and way to harsh on family. Niggas will let white people who they like do slave play sex narratives outside of porn. Our women say we ain’t shit and go get a white boy(on Twitter) most sisters don’t like white boys. Our brothers view other brothers as competition. But don’t view the Dominican Barber shop as a problem. We even let white folks in our gangs. When our gangs were formed against them. But then we shine around folks that’s not in our circle we assume niggas hating.

we view ourselves as less than way too often. So these other groups think they can just use us for attention but won’t let us in the house

I don’t know if I understand the premise in the OP correctly but we BEEN getting used in some way or another by various groups to further lay the ground they walk on. There’s thousands of reasons why I’m sure. I don’t see it as necessarily a bad thing, but I do think in general we need to be more discretionary as to who we join hands with fo sho. We shouldn’t be so quick to join hands with each and every person just for the sake of joining hands, that crap will get you killed in these streets.

Some Dominicans are black

"we"? Take one look at this board and you'll see any gross generalization like this is false.

What's even trying to be said here? We should retain our sense of solidarity if we vibe with the cause and feel it's just regardless of whether this or that percentage or ratio of some other race feels the same or not.

Because ultimately we're on the perpetual journey of finding friends and allies... And there's plenty of individuals within any given ethnic group who are willing to fight the good fight with us.
